Perhaps the reason I'm so enraged about the below is that I finished V for Vendetta last night. Fucking fabulous. Amazing. I'll be reading it over again and again before [livejournal.com profile] tpau wrenches it from my hands... okay, maybe not quite that much, but certainly once more through.

Now that I've read it, I watched the trailer... Natalie Portman, I think, will probably end up being a good choice. Certain bits of it are certainly making me grin when thinking of her involved. The rest... I just really hope they do a good job of it. From what I've seen, though, the movie isn't displaying the politicians and policemen as "real people" as well as the book did. Too many uniforms.

Anyway. Great novel. Has totally spurred my anarchist side into action. (Remember, folks, anarchy != chaos.)

Okay, that does damper my enthusiasm. Hmm. I'm still interested in seeing it, though. Movie party? :)

And happily, londo liked it too. :)

I might want to see this in the theaters, if only to take part in the inevitable flaming. But if I don't get around to that, I'd be happy to host a showing at Melville Keep at some point.
