Nope... you get these neat things called circular needles (picture (http://knitty.com/ISSUEfall03/images/circ_untwist.jpg)) that let you knit around and around in a spiral forever. So I did that for about 6-7 inches, then started decreasing by 6 stitches every 'time around (the original circle was 72 stitches around) so that the top eventually gathered together. It went VERY quickly. I did it in, like, two days.
Also, I am more familiar with knitting now, so things went faster.
uh.. it's in my head! I'm sure it'd be online somewhere as just a slipper pattern. It's just plain and pearl.. kind of hard to describe in words. I'll try to find it.
