My take: if these medical professionals are refusing to prescribe pills because they have the possibility of harming a fertilized egg that they believe to be alive, do they also refuse to prescribe any medication that has the possibility of harming an embryo, fetus, child, or adult? Because, uh, that leaves them with very little to stand on.

And, yes, what about people who are on birth controll (any birth control) for other reasons? The main reason I'm on depo is for endometriosis... the contraceptive part is (as far as I'm concerned) a happy side-effect, not the primary reason.
