Not just you; plenty of people made the same incorrect spelling.
But the fact that you were angry when you wrote that reply isn't good, on a totally separate note.
The more emotion you put into an argument, the more you allow your emotion to be manipulated by your enemy, which puts you at a disadvantage. Rationality wins arguments - that is, rationality makes everyone who sees the argument think more favorably of your side. That, really, was my point in continuing that thread: logical, rational countering of every emotional point made creates the appearance of me 'winning.'
Incidentally, the last time someone from my parents' church tried to get me started on the topic of how gays were ruining marriage, I told them to go complain at all the straight couples that cohabitate, have children together out of wedlock, and get domestic partner benefits.
At some point I think I'm going to be lynched, but it's less likely here than it was in North Carolina.
Yeah. My purpose in posting the poll was not to start a debate in my journal - I see people being stupid often enough in the world, I don't need to encourage it here. Apparently, however, just the words send some people into a crazed frenzy of soapbox-standing. :P
