So tonight I went out to Cambridge to meet other Boston-area fans of the Boston-based webcomic Something Positive. It was a great time :)

Sadly, the guy I felt I hit it off with the most is married. Grr. The guy I talked with second best is gay.

Where are the wonderful single heterosexual men??

[Addendum the next morning: there actually were some wonderful single heterosexual men there, I think I just had a few too many beers to fully appreciate ;) ]

Otherwise it was wonderful, and I have some signed drawings :) Those will go up some other time. I must sleep now.

Well, I'm single and heterosexual - but I don't know about wonderful. :-)

It was nice meeting you in any case. ;-)

Well offering me a ride home and fulfilling the offer (rather than... other circumstances) certainly earn you wonderful points. ;)

Once the evening got into full swing there were too many group conversations and beer towers for me to have made accurate wonderfulness representations, or so I realized upon sobering up... so this journal entry has been altered a bit. I'm not quite so judgemental as I sounded ;)

Well, as much as I might've liked to take you home with me, I'm a registered Nice Guy(tm) and I have this little issue with personal honor - I have it. ;-) I'm just the helpful sort. Besides, I live in Worcester, I think you would've noticed it wasn't the way back to Malden, at least 45 minutes into the trip "Are you sure this is a shortcut?"

I didn't get that intoxicated since I was driving - I stopped driking early after one pint and 2 9ozs so I'd be sober to drive.

Yes, too intoxicated to drive and too intoxicated to find the bus stop (or someone to offer a ride!) are several, several beers apart. Heh.

Grin. I didn't really think I'd be in danger of not being taken home by anyone there... Even if there wasn't a group of people seeing who I went home with and how to look them up online ;) I guess I'm one of those trusting folk... although I bet it's more commonly known as "naive"...

I also tend to stock up on ellipses, could you tell?

Ellipses are fun... Yeah, someone would have to be dumb to try anything after being seen taking you away from a group gathering like that. Since everyone there was known to someone else. (Unless they were truly devious and showed up and used a fake identity all night, I suppose.)

Creepy looking guy shows up...

"Hi, I'm Randy! No really!" *gathers the beautiful women to take them home* "Sorry, uh, my hand is sprained, I can't draw for you." *runs off with the women*

And, you know, they probably wouldn't be lying about being randy...
