Today (yesterday) I slept from 11:30am - 5:30pm. Then I worked from 6pm - 4am.

Before noon on Monday (today), I need to finish writing my capstone paper (1-2 hours), do a short report for mythology/folkore (2 hours), do a nutrition lesson (1-2 hours), and go to the municipal court to pay a fine (for the citation I got in my car accident; I think it'll be $115, yikes).

Therefore, I needed to be awake. On the recommendation of a co-worker, I took a Yellow Jacket. Apparently quite a few people at Papa John's use them regularly for energy/alertness. I'm quite wired by it... jittery even. But I think I'm thinking clearly, and I'm certainly not going to fall asleep anytime soon. So that's good? Taking pills will not become standard practice for me, don't worry (those of you who were worrying). I don't really like the feeling.

By the way, I don't think I've ever been outside in colder weather than tonight. It was below 0ºF... below -17ºC. It was horrible. I got good tips but not spectacular, not like Friday night. Only a few people gave no tip, though, generally they rewarded my effots. That was nice. I like that.

Time to work on that list of things to do...

i've officialy changed the their name from yellow jeckets to "killer bees!"
i took so many of them this summer that i had thought about starting my own waky-wake pill line called "tanks". insted of being yellow and black striped they would be camofluged.

"man i'm getting tired, i think it's time to pop a tank!"

And you could refer to an overdose as being run over by tanks...

Be careful with those... I took them for quite a while when I was working 60+ hour work-weeks. They affect your mood too, so you'll be awake, but you'll also be quick to jump all over people for little things, etc. That's with continued use, tho. They also do fucked up things to your body.

Well with my one-time use I was very talkative and friendly. Still, I have to say I still don't like the overall feeling inside my body, and use of them will be hardly-ever.

How much should one tip when they order one large pizza in this weather?

At least $2. Especially in the dorms. It doesn't seem like it, but even if we drive as close as possible to the dorm and then walk from the car to the doors, that's actually more outside-in-the-cold time than most trips from the car to front doors of houses. Brrr.

Cool, thanks. I tipped $3. I didn't know if I was being a cheapskate or not. :-)

Nope, that is awesome for the dorms!

One of my fellow drivers came up to me yesterday and said, "I got a couple tips last night as good as you did on Friday!" I said, "Cool, what did you get?" and he said, "A $4 and a $5." I looked at him quizzically and said, "That's not as good as I got on Friday..." and he answered, "They were both from Walker Tower." At which point my eyes bugged out and I said, "Damn! That's amazing!" Getting that much from a dorm really was comperable to my $14 from a house.

I pretty much avoid making dorm runs if I can. They're a lot of work (especially late night when the doors are locked) and the tips are horrible. Of course, I'd recognize your room number and name and try to take that if I saw it :)
