cold

Why is it that all buildings keep the air at a frigid 70 degrees during the summer, when people are dressed for 80-90 degree weather? I'm wearing a flannel shirt over my t-shirt and jeans and my fuzzy slippers in here in the lab and I'm still slightly chilly. Is it just me? How do I counter such a phenomenon? I'm certainly not cold when I go outside...

I ate one of my containers of fried rice from thaigrocer.com. I ate it cold, but it was still pretty good. I was very happy with the ingredients - brown rice, corn, peanuts, TVP, fried egg, vegetable oil, pepper. Nothing weird or preserved. The nutritional guide threw me for a loop, it gave "Energy: 1268kJ"... but once I used the 4.19J->cal conversion that I knew and remembered that food calories are really kcal, I figured that it was about 300 calories. Not bad.

I don't think there's anything else exciting for me to talk about. In half an hour, it'll be 100 hours until Jason gets here! That's very soon. :) And I have all day off on Wednesday... I think we should have every Wednesday off, and work on Saturdays or Sundays instead. Putting the non-work-days right next to each other really isn't the best plan. Split them up so we don't have to work so many days in a row. Anyone else agree with me? Maybe if I run a school or a business later in life, that is how I will run it.

you're the lone freak, always cold, everywhere you go.

more importantly, they do school like that in france, or at least they did 10 years ago when i was there, and i don't think they've changed. monday tuesday, all day. wednesday, off. thursday friday, all day. saturday, morning. sunday, off.
it was very nice for the 3 weeks i was there. but i think there's something nice about having 2 days off in a row, if you want to go for a weekend trip or something.

Well my school will also be very nice about granting vacations. If you want me to write you up a lesson plan, I will, or if you think you can learn it on your own, go ahead!

Boy if you don't like seventy degrees you'd really hate the sixty I keep it in my apartment. If it wasn't for good insulation I'd go broke on energy bills.

I like my apartment at a temperature where I can reasonably run around naked. heh.

That's doable at the tempatures I'm talking about. Mind you it helps to have insulation like I do but it's still doable.

Sixty is a lovely tempature. And it's a great incentive to work out so you're not cold.

Heh if I kept my apartment that cold, I'd never get out of bed to work out!
