I finally put the NYC pictures up.

Pictures from our harbor cruise, including lots of pictures of the NY skyline as well as a couple pictures of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, and the Brooklyn Bridge: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16.

Pictures taken from atop the Empire State Building, mostly just views of NYC from above but two group portraits as well (28 is me, Adriana, and her friend Lisa, while 29 is just Adriana and me): 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36.

A cool curved building that I thought goldbug would like to see.

Times Square: 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47.

St. Thomas's Cathedral (taken for the benefit of my brother and sis-in-law), and a neat looking Atlas statue: 48, 49, 50, 51, 52.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This place is HUGE.

Pictures from the Gay Pride Rally. If you think these types of things are indecent, well, don't look at the photos. Although I will tell you that the first two don't really contain any controversial content at all: a weird comedian whose gender I couldn't guess and the New York Spirit Project, a gay pride cheerleading squad (seriously). More disturbing (to some) are pictures of the weird goth singer who brought a scantily-clad man onstage to dance (58, 59) and a picture of two men snuggling, which I personally find very cute and endearing.

Oh, I forgot to mention one of the highest points of yesterday. After my fitness test, there was pilates at noon for an hour, and then there's customarily a bouncing .. er, urban rebouding class for another hour. This second class got changed to a dance aerobics class yesterday for some reason. Anyway, for some reason I felt really unbalanced and uncoordinated watching myself dance in the mirror. However, one of the girls from the class (who works at the front desk of the club, but is not a trainer or anything) came up to me in the locker room and told me I was a great dancer! It was a very happy thing to hear. She told me I should attend one of the dance masterclasses here but they're like $150 for 4 weeks or something disgusting like that.

I guess that's all I have to say about that.

There was a message on the answering machine from a lady in the apartment complex who wanted to hire me to clean her apartment. She didn't say any more than that. I need to call her back and talk to her about it, and get an idea of how much cleaning is needed of the place, but I'm a bit hesitant on how to start asking for a price. Should I try to estimate by hours worked? Or just a flat rate? Hmm.

Of course, it could be possible that she has an idea already picked out for how much she'll pay me. I guess I just have to call to find out.

I walked upstairs into Jason's room and saw Whiskers sitting like this. I busted up laughing and ran to get the camera. Yes, the cat is sitting up, legs all sprawled out. Here's a closeup.
