I only assume that Rachel and Goldbug are either at the Prairie Kitchen, or some position on the path from here to there. Everyone else I generally assume to be asleep. Unless they're in a far different time zone (*wave to Nick*).

I just finished my German story for tomorrow. I haven't studied vocab yet. The story is interesting; but I don't get how it's supposed to be some commentary on socialist life in the DDR and satirical in some way. Maybe because I don't know the language well enough to fully grok the story and its meaning? And perhaps because most of it I read by going through babelfish?

Anyway, I also need to study for this vocab. I can't remember if its the vocab quiz on pages 4 and 5, combined, or just the quiz on page 3 alone. I sure hope it's just page 3, for obvious slack/sleepiness reasons.

Tomorrow I get free pizza at Saxon because we have a new CEO. I guess that means tomorrow is an optimum day to wear a skirt, too -- make a good impression and all. I can dig that, I was going to wear one today but was in too much of a hurry. Dressing up requires just a bit more time.

Tomorrow is also my mom's birthday. I feel kind of bad because it's also the Tool concert, and I have a feeling my sister-in-law is going to call and try to get me to go out to eat with the family or something. I think I'll offer to treat my mom this weekend instead. Dinner and a movie, or something nice like that.

I wonder when Goldbug and Rachel will be back...

The math helpline got this email today:

----------------------------------------
Problem Description
----------------------------------------
Book: Math 2, 1st Edition
Book Type: Textbook
Lesson: 41A & (41B)
Problem: 2 & (2)
Page: No page specified

Problem Description: Part three of each problem states, "Count by 5's to find the number of toes in all of the socks / (shoes)." Counting by fives in an inappropriate method of determining the number of toes in all of the socks or shoes because not all feet have five toes. For additional reference, not all hands have five fingers; nor do all boys and girls have two hands/arms/feet/legs/eyes or ears - something they don't need to be reminded of by their math book publisher.

Um, damn. How am I supposed to respond to this?
