The problem with scleral (full-eye) lenses is they are *expensive*. These (http://02a5349.netsolstores.com/jaws.aspx) are pretty freakin' awesome and $330/pair, though...
Thanks much for the data! Those are more expensive than I had hoped, so probably not a surprise gift. OTOH, they are way less expensive than new prosthetics, so it's all a matter of perspective... And there are some cool non-scleral ones that are possibly within the "get it as a surprise present" range...
Never underestimate the ability of your friends to help, too. I think several people would be interested in chipping in to get some Corinthian eyes for her, myself included!
