It's implying that one's coworkers are people who ork cows. I have no fucking clue what it means, either, which is part of why it bugs me. But people seem to think they're clever or hip or something for saying it instead of coworker.
Sometimes people do things, have habits or tics that annoy other people. It's life. There's a reason I posted to my LJ about it rather than comment to your post with it - there's no personal slight intended, just my dislike of the term.
If you're talking about people who ACTUALLY ork cows (for whatever definition of "ork" you come up with), totally less annoying. It's the paintbrush use of it for anyone and everyone's coworkers that I really dislike.
using it in lieu of "coworker" is totally dumb. I agree. Next time you should get all up in people's grill and be like, "if you knew what you were calling people you would NEVER use that phrase again!"
I vote we take it back. "God, that heifer is ORKABLE!"
