So I failed to update yesterday after my doctor's appointment, but I'm doing so now.
My new doctor was fairly useless on the subject of my knee. She noted that it was definitely swollen, but it didn't feel warm to her (I think it does now; I will be asking londo to check when he gets home), and unfortunately I told her that it hurt less than the day before, so she told me to just R.I.C.E. (rest, ice, compress, elevate) and come back if it swells up more. Well, I think it has, so I'm calling in the morning. Sigh.
She was otherwise okay. I mean, her personality didn't grate on me. She was very quick and methodical, and I think maybe I asked too many questions of her, but whatever. I want to know what's going on. I got a surprise gyn exam, which was no fun, but it was time. :P
We talked briefly about my cysts (original one on my neck that was removed via surgery, and the subsequent two that popped up afterwards, one on my back near my armpit and the other on the back of my neck - normally they are small bumps that masquerade as non-colored zits) and how I wanted to get them removed, but in the bustle of all the things we talked about, we didn't come back to that topic. Well, after being on crutches for just one day (I switched because the cane was not enough weight off of my leg) I have aggravated the cyst on my back - the edge of the cane's underarm padding just barely pokes at it. So that is red and swollen and painful, too. Argh! Just one more thing to bring up in the morning. This pretty much means antibiotics. :(
So hopefully this clinic is awesome enough that I can get an appointment tomorrow morning by calling tomorrow morning, otherwise I will be a sad juldea, and no one wants that.
