I have recently unearthed a box labeled O.P.P. (in the sense of 'property') and felt subsequent feelings of shame for having squirreled away items belonging to others for so long. Most of them I can name the rightful owners of, but not all, and hence this post.

Is this yours?
Paperback - Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five
Clear tupperware container with red lid, square, 8 cups/1.9 liter. My brain says it contained cookies, or perhaps soup. ([livejournal.com profile] sandrylene?)
Paperback - William Martin's Harvard Yard
DVD - Henry V starring Kenneth Branagh. [livejournal.com profile] learnedax, I think?
Paperback - Leon Uris's Trinity, perhaps [livejournal.com profile] londo's mom's copy, actually.
Paperback - Roald Dahl's Danny: The Champion of the World, either [livejournal.com profile] alexx_kay's or [livejournal.com profile] chaiya's, I think.

I know these are yours:
[livejournal.com profile] etherial's Applied Statistics textbook
[livejournal.com profile] alexx_kay's Invisibles "Season" 2, Stardust, and Smoke and Mirrors
[livejournal.com profile] shadowravyn's hardback of Kushiel's Justice and paperback A Game of Thrones
[livejournal.com profile] chaiya's paperback Ballet Shoes
[livejournal.com profile] tpau's Torvill & Dean VHS
[livejournal.com profile] outlander's Outlander paperbacks
[livejournal.com profile] nadiradancer's Dalia Carella VHS and Student Show 04 DVD

Yay! I'd forgotten that I'd loaned you Game of Thrones. Would you be able to bring them with you tomorrow?

Both? I haven't actually read Avatar yet. :(

Note: you can tell me to suck it and return it anyway - I've had it for months, after all.

Also, I am not actually out of book space. This will probably change if londo wants to add his books to the shelf, though.

Avatar? You mean Justice, right?

Nah, I don't need it back right yet. You can keep it for a wee bit longer.

Just cause I love you.

I do mean Justice. Brain spinning from so many books today!

You can keep the books until you have read them--i have multiple copies. Besides, once you have read them, we can get together for dinner & talk about them!

Definitely! Now that I have *shelves* and can organize books better, they won't get lost in a box!

I don't know if the Dahl is mine, but oh, I am so glad you found Ballet Shoes! I've been missing it for a while! :)

I am headed for dinner at Christopher's tonight, should I stop by afterwards and drop it off? :)

I'm pretty sure it's mine. I forget what prompted me to loan it, but I at least vaguely remember having done so :-)

I think a conversation about liking Dahl but never having read that one? And then you gave it to londo when he was visiting some time that I couldn't? Does this ring a bell?

Okay. They will be returned to you at New Year's if not before, then!

Have you read them? There's no immediate rush to return any of them if you haven't.

I have read the Invisibles but not the Dahl. I can get the former back to you soon, and the latter after it is read. :)

It's possible the Harvard Yard is mine- I know I bought a copy and might have lent it out and might not know where it is.... Let me check my box of as of yet unpacked paperbacks.

Oh, sweet. I can definitely see it being yours. Check that. :)

Yah, my memory is that Harvard Yard went from [livejournal.com profile] rufinia to me, then me to you. But it was hers originally.

The tupperware isn't actually ringing a bell, but then I've never been so attached to any of mine that I'm constantly aware of it missing. I wouldn't care, either way.

I do, however, still have a book of [livejournal.com profile] londo's, which I really should return... Neil Gaiman - Anansi Boys. I think it's been at least a year, so I'm joining your feelings of shame bandwagon.

So about that arranging to ever see you...

When [livejournal.com profile] creemynougat set up dinner on Saturday night, your name was one I mentioned to ask along. He didn't get ahold of you, though. :(

londo also have a bunch of money to give you, I hear.

Are you working Fri/Sat/Sun this week?

Not working at all from Thursday to Monday, however I'm headed up to Vermont to take advantage of my four whole days of freedom.

Um. *sigh* I don't know - free any time in the next couple of weeks other than those four days?

None of that is mine, but I find it quite awesome that you labeled the box "O.P.P."

I'm down.

:)

It was a box of other people's stuff! What better way is there to label it?
