juldea: (roar!!!)
[personal profile] juldea
Yeah, so, it seems that sometime during my favoring of my arm, where I did end up doing a lot of weird twists and turns of my hand to get things done without arm movements, I've sprained my wrist.

You know, if I weren't me, I don't know if I'd believe me that all of these things happen. It's a huge freaking joke. This is a real human body, not some shoddy knock-off made in an exploited factory across the world and sold on the sidewalk. Yet my body just seems to randomly twist, strain, sprain, pull, and tear like no one else's I've ever met.

I was doing well. A couple of days there, I wasn't even needing to take painkillers as long as I rested the arm. Now I'm back on them as I R.I.C.E. my little heart out. And Epsom salt; I have that.

Time to go try a shower. This will be fun.

I will keep an eye out on the internets for a replacement body if you like. :)

If this were the World of Darkness, you'd be a Fetch. You were simply put here as a stand-in to keep us from wondering where the real [livejournal.com profile] juldea went. The real [livejournal.com profile] juldea would be in Arcadia being tortured by an Eldritch Creature. It's hard to say who gets the worse end of that shit-stick.

Aw! If it makes you feel any better, I don't hurt myself quite as often as you do, but I've been known to strain things while sleeping. Like, I wake up to horrible back pain or a charlie horse in my calf or something. So you didn't get the only defective model.

ooh, I do that too! Most of my bumps and bruises are due to klutziness, but I've woken up in the middle of the night with a charlie horse more than once. I must be twisting myself into weird positions as I'm sleeping.

Sleeping with socks on helped my charley horses (keeping my legs warmer in general seems to help those). Also, potassium and drinking more water.
