*snicker* This is pretty darned awesome. You probably won't understand if you're not familiar with the original movie The Shining, but I assume that most of you are.

This vid is completely safe for work and kids. That's part of the amusement.

Ho. Ly. Crap.

That trailer is the funniest thing I've seen all day. Thanks!

Now, wait a minute... I would swear I've seen that movie before - 'cept the way I remember it, it had Liv Tyler, Ed Burns, Jennifer Lopez, Matthew McConaughey, Kate Hudson, Ben Affleck, Brittany Murphy, Matthew Perry, Reese Witherspoon, Hugh Jackman, Cameron Diaz, Hugh Grant, Sandra Bullock, Richard Gere, Diane Lane, Dennis Quaid, Meg Ryan, Kevin Costner, Geena Davis, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, and Billy Crystal in it... and Haley Joel Osment as the kid. :P

By the way, on a related tangent, have you noticed how often these days that movie studios will give away the entire movie in the preview, whether in revealing enough of the formulaic plot that you already know how the whole story goes, or in taking the fun out of a comedy by showing all the funniest parts in the ad? It's sometimes as though they are encouraging you not to see the movie.

Yeah, I have definitely noticed that in trailers. It's certainly made me less likely to go to movies... Well, that and the prices.
