Well, the effect of Rachel's few days in Norman (and they're not over!, but here's what's up so far):

Thursday: thai for lunch, thai for dinner
Friday: thai for lunch, thai for dinner
Saturday: chili cheese nachos, pizza for lunch, chinese for dinner

Note that thai meals always are incredibly large portions that people usually take home unless they have not eaten all day.... the chinese was a buffet... and The Destroyerâ„¢ (the chosen name for my stomach - who is lately giving Raoul a run for his money!) doesn't leave food left on plates. Sometimes not on other people's plates either.

So I don't even want to look at the scale for a week (assuming I'll finally get back into my exercise regiment this week), and my stomach has increased to the size that if it don't eat a humongous thai meal and some kind of incredible buffet, I'm going to feel really hungry!

I feel really hungry now, and I'm going grocery shopping. That's probably bad. But really, all I need is fruit.

I guess it is good that I can't make it to the dinner party... yet another buffet staring me in the face. ;)

(and for those who care... I didn't know about the dinner party until I read brendan's post this morning... and I had already planned today for heavy-duty incredi-studying. I knew I had to do stuff over the weekend, and I knew (at the time) that my Sunday was completely free of obligations and amusements, so I took my Saturday as a play-day and reserved Sunday for work. And that's just how it's gotta be.)

Off to get dressed now for the grocery run!

i think the destroyer is a sprinter, able to eat huge meals in a single bound, whereas raoul is a long distance runner, able to eat and eat and eat all day long. still, they should really have a showdown at high noon someday.

OOoh, quite possible. They should meet at opposite ends of a long, empty table at high noon. ;)

Well yes, the "empty" referred to no one else being at the table to eat the food besides us.

Continuing on with the western theme here ;)
