parties and new friends and OMG SO MUCH FOOD

So last night was diego001's birthday dinner at Fire & Ice restaurant in Harvard Square. Fire & Ice is the red-headed stepchild of proper Mongolian barbeques (like BD's) but it is the closest thing I have found in Boston. Annnyway.

I showed up only knowing diego001 and karlean7, and left knowing so many more people! And we all had Livejournals! Woot.

I met idonotlikepeas, emopixie, toodumbforthis, sexybassist1013, and placeboweek. I talked to them to varying degrees, some not very much, but what I saw proved they were all keen. Only the staff meeting in 10 minutes keeps them from being on my friends' list yet. ;)

I also did my job for God and America and stuffed four plates of 'experimental stir-fry' into my stomach, more than anyone else (although the heft of idonotlikepeas's plates might have equaled us out.) First there was a tofu sesame ginger dish, then the wonderful "little bit of pasta, little bit of chicken, and three cups of sliced mushrooms" alfredo, followed by steak fajitas, and finished off with teriyaki pork, which I'm very sorry I left for the end because it turned out to be the best dish of them all. Yes, even beating the mushroom alfredo.

Gotta get to my meeting now.

i added you all as friends as soon as i got home last night! those four plates were incredibly impressive... but props to idonotlikepea's huge arse dish of meat (but don't forget the one sprig of brocolli ;) very nice to meet you, if we ever do this again we should talk more haha i felt isolated from your end of the table!

I believe one of the reasons my relationship with londo works so well is that he dislikes mushrooms, so he gives them all to me. He gets none + I get double = happy partnership.
