bellydance costuming!!

So, horrible horrible news: the recital for my new bellydance class is going to require me buying/making a new bellydance costume. OH DAMN. ;)

I need a choli top, harem pants, a 1.5-circle skirt, and a coined hip scarf.

I can make all of that except the hip scarf... which I'm trying to get from ebay. What do you think about this one? *crosses fingers*

Once I have it, I can make a trip to fabric stores to buy appropriate matching fabric for the other bits. :) *dance* This'll be fun.

That reminds me of a guy who was wearing a coined head wrap at faire. He had used American currency. The copper was pennies and he had quarters around his head. It was pretty impressive.
