Eddie Bauer has decided that women shaped like me might want pants that fit, so they have come up with a new style, "Blakely fit." They are described as having a full size difference between the waist and the hips/thighs - i.e. the waist of a 6 and the hips/thighs of a 8.

omg, pants for me!!

I am excited about this, and want to encourage them to make more pants in this style. The obvious capitalist course is to buy a pair.

The problem being that after shipping and all, they're $60. :P I normally have to talk myself into spending $20 on a pair of pants... <3 thrift stores.

I guess I just have to wait for them to go on clearance... I consider this concept to be worth $30, but not $60. I just hope I'm not the ONE PERSON who doesn't get them and therefore they decide not to make any more pants like this, ever.

I understand about sizing. I'm thankful that capri's were invented, otherwise I'd have to hem all my pants!

While I can understand this feeling, I loathe capris, and I really wish that they weren't so "in-style" right now. I need pants that are longer, not shorter!!

Yah, I'm with [livejournal.com profile] anitra on pants length. I'm six feet tall, and it's a right bitch to find pants long enough for me. Even ones too big around (and I'm not skinny!) are usually too short. Waaaaah!

There's an Eddie Bauer outlet near my home. I'll drop by and see if they have them for cheap.

Let's see if they even have them, and then I'll worry about money. What size do you wear, and what color(s) would you like?

They don't have them at the outlet just yet, more's the pity.

Agreed. Well... I'll wait I guess. Thanks though. :)

Go to www.clevermoms.com and look up Eddie Bauer. Click through to their site from a provided link, and see if it works, then. If not, let me know, so I can notify the site. Good luck!!

I second the Eddie Bauer Outlet recommendation.

I picked up three pairs of jeans for $45 at one in 2003, though I don't think there's a store near me now or I'd offer to go. (I'll ask Vogon, since he's more likely to know.)
