Thank Jason for the swap in text and background colors. Apparently the text was too dark and the background was too light. I think this is how it'll stay now.

I'm debating lots of small posts or one long one; I could keep the LJ client open on my desktop and randomly type in it all night long. However, I guess some kind of chronology is good to have.

The annoying little girl from the apartment complex is knocking on my door. It's sad that I have to peek through the blinds to see who is here. She doesn't take, "I want to be alone," for an answer.

Yay for anything purple and green!

Check this out. She saw Pixel in the kitchen window one day, and then she also happened to be playing outside the day I brought Matrix home. I had her come inside and watch them while I brought Matrix's stuff in (and she yelled for me when they first started fighting). So now EVERY TIME SHE SEES ME it's "Can I come see your cats?" It took a week to get her not to yell it, by threatening that if the cats are found they will be taken away. Last weekend while I was taking a long afternoon watching episodes of Red Dwarf, she stood and knocked at the door for 30 minutes straight. I didn't give ANY indication I was home, but I guess she heard the TV. And I couldn't do anything about it unless I gave it away that I was home. ARGGH!

i'm not surprised. she is one creepy 8 year old. i mean, i'm sure she's nice. if you can get past the creepy. and her parents must not have taught her things like "don't take candy from strangers" and "don't go into anybody's house without telling us where you're going." i had to tell her you were sleeping a few times in order to get her to give up on going into our place.

Yeah, I'm almost afraid to let her inside in case her parents freak out and accuse me of attempted kidnapping or something.

Oh, it was kind of cute when she said, "I think of you as a big sister, because whenever I see you I am happy." Except that's not really how anyone thinks of a big sister at that age. ;)
