So last night I lay down with londo for a while to watch some TV. I was wearing jeans and a t-shirt and had a nice fuzzy fleece blanket over me. I was shivery and cold still, but not too badly. And then he got up, exclaiming about how hot he was, and wanted to open the window. When I protested violently and showed how I was shivering... we got out the thermometer.

101°F. Yikes!

We piled me into more clothing and poured more tea into me. I got nice and warm in a good sleepy way. When I went to bed at 9:30, my temperature was taken again. londo looked at it and said, "Your fever has gotten worse..." and then left to talk to Randy! Meep! I was afraid I was about to die or something. When he came back he told me it had gone up to 102 and that if it was still that high in the morning, I'd be taken to the doctor.

Luckily the fever seems to have gone away overnight, I woke up very sweaty but otherwise a normal temperature. And I feel much, much, much better. My throat still hurts, but the fever and vertigo are gone. Yay!

Sorry you've been miserably sick. Glad to hear it's getting better.

You can't beat me for weird dreams though. (In response to your previous entry abuot the break-up dream with Londo.) Night before last, it was like a sci-fi/fantasy movie, with a young dark-haired hero and his sidekick, for some unexplained reason, having to go through a series of challenges in this cavern-like space station (always passing through airlocks between chambers) just to get to the final goal, which was to face a giant bat-shaped space-monster that looked to be made of orange-glowing molten rock.

I love my dreams. They're always weird and fascinating. Well, okay, not always; sometimes I'm just dreaming about people that I miss, like my college buddies Jennifer and Kevin last night.

I think I can beat that, but I don't have the time to tell it at the moment. I'll let you know sometime later. :)

I'm glad you're finally feeling a little better. You've had more than your fair share of illness lately.

P.S. Is this supposed to be a locked entry? Because I see no lock. :-)

It's not... it was going to be, and then I read it over and there was no locked information, so I posted it open... without changing the subject.

I mean, I've been ill. That excuses me from being all mentally here, right?

For future reference:
If you have a fever, don't make yourself hotter. Cool yourself down. Tea and blankets are not your friends at that point, even if you are shivering. Sitting in a hot hot\lukewarm bath until it reaches room temp is your best cure.

Hmmm, aren't fevers sometimes a GOOD thing...as in serving their purpose and all? I'm just sayin...immedietly ditching the fever doesn't always seem to be the best thing.
