I'm fairly certain I took that years before and was much more Right. ;)

Your political compass

Economic Left/Right: 2.63
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.31

One thing that I didn't like about the test is that they were some questions that put in a black and white set and yet the answer I felt was neither an agree or disagree category. Over all though I think it does show about where I am at.

Yes, I agree that the questions weren't the best, and some of them were quite definitely Bad.

Seems to me I've taken this test before. I remember wondering whether I should be amused or annoyed that "Left" and "Libertarian" are negative scores?

Economic Left/Right: -1.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -2.46

Hurm. Possibly some drift left on economics but only because I've been looking at the social security issue, lately.

And what kind of question is "I'd always support my country, whether it was right or wrong."? I haven't seen Alabama spending Missisippi's lunch money at the casino, or New Jersey skipping class, or the Dakotas fighting again.

Funny...

I definitely get "grouped" on the Authoritarian side of the scale - at least in Massachusetts. But for the most part, I don't want the government to get any bigger, and I think it has too much authority even now.

maybe I only get painted that way because I agree with the "Right" on a few key issues...

Who didn't see that coming from a mile away? :-)

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -4.62

I remember seeing a version of this in high school, distributed by a very intelligent but fiscally conservative acquaintance. Today, I think I also find myself to be a little more socially liberal. Just about where I expected, though.
