juldeaSo, uh, I'm totally dumb.
I was in the shower this morning... head tilted back, eyes closed, rinsing hair. Leaned head forward, opened eyes, and - darkness. Blinked a few times, almost panicked, then realized that I could see faintly and that I wasn't blind but rather the power had gone out. I stopped my shower long enough to flip the lightswitch a few times and check that the kitchen power was out too, then resumed showering in the dark. Had fears of (1) being raped and (2) a fire that would cause me to have to jump out of the third-floor window into the freezing cold with nothing but a bathrobe on. Luckily none of these happened.
I finished the shower, went to my room - found my computer miraculously on. But no power elsewhere. I realize my computer is on an extension cord to![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kobold's room because he has the three-pronged outlet, so that outlet must have power and my room/kitchen/bathroom doesn't. Neither does the router, so we don't have internet. Ponder this, think about possible blown fuse options, and leave the key to the landlord's apartment (first floor) on my desk. I don't wake kobold or londo as I'm running late.
I leave for work, resolving to call kobold and leave a voicemail saying what's up. Of course I miss one bus, another is late, etc etc, so I forget. Plus there's lots of work to be done when I get here. So yeah, I forgot all about it. :P
Meaning kobold went to a lot of trouble this morning trying to figure out why his internet wasn't working, for nothing. :( Sorry. :(
