Very cool, now a question from someone that has never learned to Knit - is there such a thing as sexy looking yarn, I mean like something that just turns peoples heads.. or am I just a seriously over tired Mommy for wondering something like this?

Either or both? :) Was looking at the link with the boots and I must say I know nothing about it but it was like "wow, that would look awsome if I could do..."

Ahh, at the point of socks it's less the yarn and more the pattern. :) Neat stripes, patterns in the knitting, things like that. Like I'm sure these (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring03/PATTtiptoe.html) would turn everyone's eyes!

And if you go beyond scarves to tings like shawls and various other bits of cothing, my sister once made an ashy-gray wrap with slightly glittery pink yarn on the edges, and a large, soft pink satin ribbon. It turned heads, and not only the heads of the knitters, either. She gets complimented on it all the time.
