They would have to be easily removable.

What about when it rains? Or you're drinking steaming soup?

And without them on, and just the metal clips, they look kind of weird.

And yech, what happens if it gets caught on something?

I'm just not a big fan of body modification. Much more in favor of advancing laser eye surgery.
