dentist aftermath

So, first dentist's appointment in 2.5-3 years.

Good news:

• No cavities! OMG! I totally thought I'd have some.
• Dentist complimented me on a nice white teeth.

Bad news:

• Textbook case of gingivitis.
• Need crown on the cracked molar on lower right side of mouth.
• Need three wisdom teeth removed.

Yay, oral surgery. :P

I also got free mouthwash, toothpaste, toothbrush, and dental floss, a tutorial on how to brush and floss correctly, and a recommendation to ask for an electric toothbrush for Christmas. Heehee. Sonicare or Oral-B, for those who care.

God I need to go to the dentist so bad.. It's been a few years and I KNOW that the last time I went I had at least 2 cavities that are still there. They don't really hurt unless I eat things with lots of sugar. It's a sad world when Skittles are right out...

Yay! No cavities! Same here! Sorry to hear about the wisdom teeth. I way lucked out - I never got mine - and they're not down in the jaw either - they just have never existed - I'm a medical phenomenon apparently. No wisdom teeth, my tonsils and adnoids grew back - twice (I'm not getting them yanked again to see if it happens again) There are a few other things too but I think the best is the no wisdom teeth thing :P

Yeah, one of mine is non-existant, and they don't think it's impacted either, just... not there. But all four? Strange!

I had mine taken out three days ebfore Christmas... mostly so I could not miss any work whiule recovering (Scheduled for Friday, due to CHristmas, no work until Tuesday), whihc would have been good and all but the fuckers laid me off a week before that (telling someone "Oh, yeah, we're laying you off" before Chsirtmas is rude. Telling them during FINALS is sadistic). So I spent my Christmas not being able to eat much (but the traditional Chrsitmas Eve meal in chicken wild rice soup, whihc was perfectly fine) and hopped up on drugs.

Ooh, Martin Luther King day is a holiday. I should get it done the Friday before that, so I have a three-day weekend.
