YAY! I have an air conditioner now!

Also, I took my late library books back, and they waived my fine. I guess it was so little they didn't care. (I know it was under $1.)

Oh, right - I am totally badass, because I carried the AC a couple blocks from this guy's house to mine. I figure, I'm going for a massage tomorrow - I'll work my back a bit today!

I will hopefully be joining you in backrubby bliss tomorrow. And hooray for voluntary environmental manipulation!

Did they tell you they were waiving them, or did they just not bother collecting them?

They specifically waived them. I said, "I want to return these and pay the fine," the guy scanned the books, looked at the computer, and said, "Oh, don't worry about it. It's taken care of."

A weeks ago, I got a parking ticket at OU. (I had been parking in front of the gym without a pass all summer, and had never gotten a ticket. Then one day, they decide to slap me with a $25 ticket, which is more than the cost of a pass.) When I finally broke down and sent the check, the parking office sent it back to me with a note saying the fine had already been paid. WTF? OU going easy on someone? Can't be...

Wow, awesome! I'd take that piece of luck and run with it! But also keep the note, just in case it was a billing snafu and they try to stick you with late fees later.

Had my massage yesterday... she's awesome, and we want to keep her working. My back and shoulders (know as "The shoulders that make Cristpvau feel unmanly") feel better than they have in MONTHS.

Oh, that's such good news! Did you get Shiatsu too, or something else?

Shiatzu. Never had that before. She did a bit of traditional work on my shoulders, because they are a mess. But I can tell you that my energy was a lot more... calm...? when she was done. We like her lots.

I've never had it either, but it sounded good so that's what I signed up for.
