juldea: (sleepy)

I'm having another bad day. *grump*

My computer and phone here at work are both somehow broken. The phone lost all of its imporant features (i.e. my ability to answer the help line from my personal extension) and the network connection to my computer is gone. So I'm on Chris/Caleb's horrid Imac. =P I just want to lie down and sleep and turn off the phones. Can't really do that if IIT is coming up here to fix the computer for me, though. Sleeping on the job is bad.

People are dumb.

I have a headache.

that really sucks. both because I get bored when no one calls, and because the imac sucks ass. I have sympathy.

You know, since we don't work at the same time ever, I'd have no problems if you started using my computer... It's a lot better than the Imac (in some ways at least).

I have to use a Mac in my Technical Communications class. I have a completely irrational hatred for the bloody things. Usually I cut out of class early and do the lab on my PC. :P

g3? g4? what are the numbers on it? is it newer than the imac?

it says on the front "Power Macintosh 4400/200." The iMac is a G3.

Oh. heheh. Guess I don't have to check when I get to work then. ;)

the 4400/200 is what i had before i got a g3. i'm assuming that they put more ram in it than it came with originally. in fact i think i remember that computer cause i saw it in your office. i think i remember playing with it and deciding that it had been souped up.

Wow... it whines and gripes when I want it to look at jpgs, or show a movie. Souped up sounds way more intese than what this computer is. Makes me wonder about non-souped-up machines. ;)

well, it's at least 5.5 years old.

Oh. heheh. that makes a lot of sense then :) I see how it can be a souped-up 5-year-old machine ;)

No, it's definitely older than the Imac. I will check the numbers when I get there...

thanks for the offer, but even though I think the iMac sucks, it has become my little piece of shit, and I think that I'll keep using it. I've almost gotten used to the mouse, though that's still the worst part. I have a friend with an iMac, and he has a cool 3-button wireless mouse... it sits on an electromagnetic pad of some kind. it's kinda cool.

no messages this morning? that's kinda weird. *shrug*
