Question to self: Would Jane find it desirable to begin wearing a choker to hide both her scar and her tattoo?
(My Garou character has a bar code tattoo on the back of her neck because she's an escaped test subject. She also just gained a wide flat scar on her throat from a sword that very nearly killed her... but she declined an offer to heal/erase the scar. Though she wasn't in her full wits at the time...)

on 12 Aug 2004 12:01 (UTC)The scar, on the other hand, is a fierce testament to Jane's strength.
Grendal wouldn't have had to make it if she weren't all that...
so I say she should wear it and tell the story with pride,
because anyone who can push Grendal to need a blade to defend himself
is a force to be rekoned with. Who cares about 'honor'?
"Damn, girl, you had a Fenrir Ahroun's blade in your throat and LIVED!
AND you're only a PUP!" (although I'm sure that will be remedied soon)
Hiding a battle scar is nonsense. Jane is TUFF... she should be proud.

on 12 Aug 2004 12:36 (UTC)her first kill. It is not a "battle scar" but it is there.
It, too, was garnered under less-than-ideal circumstances;
but it is part of who she is and she does not hide it.
She tells the story without shame... despite the fact that
there are more than mere physical scars from the event.
Perhaps Jane is not quite there yet... in which case it makes
perfect sense for her to feel uncertain about showing off the scar.
It is something you, as the player, can choose to roleplay through
and keep as a hangup to be overcome later on.

Re: roleplay
on 12 Aug 2004 13:03 (UTC)because she doesn't really know how to feel about it. she can always
say "oh, well, I just had it on anyway" if anyone asks her about it...
and that way you can roleplay the conversations and internal drama of
figuring it all out in-game... which is what us real cracky-smacky-
roleplay-y addicts love to do ;-)
