I feel like such a movie slacker.

For the short period of time I had Netflix, I started going through that list. I will probably do it again now that I have a library card and access to good movies for free...

Wo hu cang long (2000) == "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"
Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi (2001) == "Spirited Away"

Thank you. I figured that some of the Japanese titles were movies I have seen but didn't recognize, but I was too tired to look them up. I've seen both of those films. :)

25 Buono, il brutto, il cattivo, Il (1966)

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly. Shot in Italy and thus a spaghetti western, and the best darn western ever (IMHO)

Shown every other day on TNT/Spike a while back...

*nod* I haven't seen it, though. ;)

We tend to pick films to watch based on their IMDB rating at our house. :)

Ah, a convenient web-form version of this memelet. Cool.

Still have to click a lot of boxes, though. I have yet to see The Pianist and have no interest in seeing Fight Club or Se7en. Hurm. Hey, a film starring Jean Reno that I haven't seen yet.

Sigh. I have no life.

No interest in Fight Club or Se7en? Why? I consider both of them to be very, very fine films.

Se7en

It's an awful movie!

They couldn't even spell the title correctly. "Se-seven-en." Feh.

Wow, I totally disagree. Seven (I dislike the title thingy too, but whatever) chills me to the bone, in that good way. Leaves ya thinking.

It might have something to do with the fact that I've only seen the second half.

Or it might have something to do with the fact that Lust and Pride had already been spoiled to me, and those were the only 2 murders I actually saw.

Or maybe it was the fact that I saw the ending coming A FRIGGING MILE AWAY.

And all the main characters were played by actors I really like and all of their performances disappointed me.

Hmm. Only seeing half of the movie and already having it spoiled probably did make it less enjoyable for you...

I didn't see the ending coming. That flicker of vision gets me every time.

Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey in the same movie... how can it go wrong? ;)

Se7en. I'm sure it's a marvelously made film and obviously those that saw it thought highly of it but I've been warned it has too high a cringe factor for me to enjoy it.

Fight Club. Meh. I LARP to get away from the emotional drain of my career job with a dental plan.

Det sjunde inseglet is The Seventh Seal, if you care.

"...someone was obviously trying to lure audiences with a catchy, family-oriented title [The Seventh Seal]. I have admired Miss Bergman's beauty and talent, but perhaps she should stick to acting..."
