Buffy conference in Nashville

This weekend in Nashville: the largest-ever academic conference devoted to a single television program. The program, of course, being Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

The article claims that 190 papers will be presented, with some of the more interesting titles being:

yah. Nerdy. On some level, part of me thinks that it's a shame people have nothing better to do with their time--when I know there's a lot of useful things out there that need doing. *grin* LoL!

On the other hand, it does sound way cool, and there's some cool anthropology in studying things that had a large effect on a large group of people. :-)
