0530: Alarm clock goes off. Get up and shower.

0600: Get on the phone with [livejournal.com profile] londo. Hop online to check email and weather for the day. Get dressed, eat breakfast (these days, a waffle with peanut butter and jelly and a container of yogurt), make lunch (sandwich, piece of fruit, etc).

0700: Ride bike to subway station station, take subway to bus to work. Read newspaper (Boston Metro) on trip.

0800: Arrive at work. Check voicemail if necessary. Run spyware-checking programs (because there's ALWAYS something nasty - this computer is so full of bugs it's disgusting.) Read LJ friends' list. File while reading Penny Arcade.

0900: Stomach begins rumbling. Continue having nothing to do but read Penny Arcade and go through old files to make sure they're in numerical order.

1000: Tea break. Caffeinated if possible.

1130: Take mail to mail room, return with incoming mail. Sort.

1200: Lunch! Go outside on the lawn if possible. Eat quickly and attempt to nap for the remaining hour.

1300: Return to office. Continue having nothing to do.

1500: Check auto-fax machine to see if all faxes have gone through.

1700: Leave office. Catch bus to subway. Ride bike home from subway station.

1800: Feed cats and self. Collapse at computer. Look for friends to chat with. Do necessary errands. Ponder quality of life when almost 1/2 a day is spent invested in work and another 1/4 (which should be 2/3 1/3) on sleep. Wonder about alternation options so I can avoid spending my life on a schedule like this and still have resources necessary for comfortable, happy living.

2130: When I should go to bed.

2300: When I generally go to bed.

Do you really think you should sleep 16 hours a day, or was that an exaggeration?

Heh, how sleep-Freudian. I meant 1/3 a day, 8 hours.

Yes, god, please. I was going to email you today and ask you to set me up ASAP. It's something I can do here to pass the time that doesn't look too delinquent.

Sounds like a pretty good way to lose a boyfriend.

getting an hour less of sleep jsut toi talk to him onthe phone is a good way to lose your sanity.

If I got up at 6:30, I would barely be out of the shower by 7. And I choose to put the phone conversation with him at high priority. It's important to my sanity and happiness, and not something I am going to stop.

I would put sleep and freetime high on my list of resources necessary for comfortable, happy living.

I so agree. Which is why I need to avoid actually being on a schedule like that.
