juldeaWell, after a nice long nap I got dressed in my geekwear (my geek girl t-shirt, seen in the icon, and my ribbon-cable belt) and headed to MIT for Steer Roast. I got there around 8, which turned out to be a bad time. Most people were out at dinner. I heard someone mentioning strippers in the basement, so I curiously went down to check it out. There was a guy and a girl... the girl was deformed, but I won't go into too much detail here - suffice to say her implants weren't right, in an even more noticable way than implants generally are. The guy was alright. He certainly could dance.
After my fill of that I went back upstairs to watch some bands. While they were setting up, I ran into more people I knew who said that "the crowd" would be upstairs in the casino. That sounded fun to me, so I went up. I finally met up withlaura47, who was waitressing for the casino. I got $5 worth of chips (in nickel, quarter, and dollar denominations) and sat down at one of the blackjack tables. This was, oh, 10:30. At 10 'til midnight I cashed in my $20 worth of chips. :D
I had started feeling kinda woozy and nauseated, possibly due to the various substances that I had encountered all around the party. I had stayed completely, perfectly sober (anesthesia in my body for 24 hours, and painkillers - no need to complicate things), but there was smoke and my body doesn't like smoke normally. Therefore I left the party then and managed to catch the T before it shut down for the night.
I stopped by the grocery store on the way home and used my winnings to buy some important things - Drano and ant spray. I got to kill at least 6 ants immediately upon returning home. I really need to find out where they're coming from. :P
Anyway, all in all my Steer Roast was... okay. I didn't have a blast, but there were extenuating circumstances. Tomorrow I'll head back withlondo for the actual roast. Mmm food.
