productive day, continued

Met up with Mike (karlean7) for his amazing performance. Also showing up to cheer him on (or put him in makeup) were formosa, jmspencer, and diego001. Lemme tell ya, Mike makes a gorgeous woman. Due to an unfortunate circumstance that is his story to tell, he wasn't allowed to perform his dance number in his costume. He still looked amazingly fabulous dancing in jeans and a sweatshirt, however! The boy's got skillz.

The five of us wandered to Kenmore Square where I attempted to go home because I was sleepy and had no money with which to buy dinner out, but Spence offered to pay for me! Yay Spence!

We wound up at a Japanese karaoke restaurant. However, fate continues to turn such that I was not able to sing (solo, at least - there were quite a few songs, especially at the beginning, which were rousingly sung by the entire restaurant). Due to the placement of my entry in the big line and the fact that I had to catch the non-24-hour subway home, I had to leave before I could sing. Oh well... someday.

Just barely caught the subway. Then there was a big to-do involving construction on the orange line, so the trip from Downtown Crossing to Malden took about an hour. :P

For the record, my debut karaoke number will be Something To Talk About by Bonnie Raitt. Therefore it is acceptable that I couldn't sing tonight, since this crappy restaurant didn't have it and I had to settle for something I wouldn't be able to rock so well.

I kind of don't want today to end. It's been kinda nice.
