So [livejournal.com profile] laura47 is awesome.

Not only did she take me out to buy cat food, but she took me for thai food, lent me the money to pay for it, AND when back at my house later she managed to open up my alarm clock and disable my snooze button. YAY! Some of you might remember how I had to glue thumbtacks point-up on the button in attempts to wean myself off of it, and how this didn't actually work. Now the button is completely disabled, so I'll just have to ensure that I don't end up just turning it off (which I don't think I'll do; we'll see).

And, like, she has a cute boyfriend. And cute kittens.

Sadly, I didn't get anything else on my list done. Perhaps I should work on one or two of those things now before going to bed.

couldn't you just put the alarm clock out of reach?

You weren't around for this conversation the first time, so I'll not respond with exasperation and screaming (because EVERYONE says that, and give me the benefit of the doubt, people... sheesh) but instead just say no. I can't just put the alarm clock out of reach.

the alarm clock you need:

Yes, it is $99.95. And yes, it is worth every penny. I have had mine since 1997 and I would NEVER go back to anything else.

It works using the golden mean and a very pleasant but insistent sequence of chimes. It's like having a built-in snooze bar... except that there is only like 1 to 5 minutes between each chime, so you FEEL like you have hit the snooze bar like 7 times, but in reality only 10 minutes have passed. It is really the best clock that I have EVER used (and i was REALLY bad with the snooze bar, really really bad, i could hit the snooze like 20 times in my heyday). You really should consider buying it, or saving up for it, or whatever you need to do to get one because it will change your life. :)

Wow. That looks really interesting... and if I had money to spend or save, maybe. ;)
