In other news, Dr. Landis has still not reported a letter grade to replace my incomplete.

Am I allowed to send him an email asking him to do so, when I took so long to write the paper in the first place?

I would send an email asking if when you can expect a grade. That seems better than asking him to give you one, but is really the same thing.

Although sleepily worded, this suggestion makes sense. He did email and ask me for my ID number a month ago, so perhaps he didn't get the email? I'll try again.

Then again, "if when you can expect a grade" makes absolutely no sense, and that approach might be passive-aggressive anyway. i'm going to stop replying to things now before i start sounding even stupider.
