So I started using an LJ client so that I wouldn't lose entire posts after writing them. Then they find a way to thwart me! I had an entire long description for the [livejournal.com profile] bostonsingles community (yes, I'm diving in) written, and in an attempt to post it somewhere more private to be proofread before posting publicly, I accidentally logged out of my client and lost the whole post. Maybe it's a sign.

I had an absolutely wonderful Saturday evening in New York City with [livejournal.com profile] ratbastrd, whom I can happily speak with as easily as I can comment on. Since I had been to NYC on a sightseer's trip before, we didn't attempt to do any of that but rather walked around the East Village for most of the evening. We ate yummy Vietnamese food (including coconut juice, which looked like a snow globe in a glass or perhaps Orbitz, if you remember that drink), browsed through an awesome clothing store in which I could create outfits to break men's minds if I had enough money, and had coffee and conversation at The Worst Table in that particular coffee house (as told us by one of the staff). Oh well, our waitress was quite hot. Quite. All in all it was definitely worth going out of town for the weekend. :)

I finally got around to readding LJ interests and rewriting my bio. This is yet another ploy to find more people in the Boston area with whom to connect. I know I'm more likely to respond to someone if I can see we have things in common, so hopefully others will do the same.

Speaking of ways to make friends... [livejournal.com profile] tragicstory is holding a Firefly marathon at his house this weekend and supposedly inviting other friends of his besides me, at least one of whom I hope is single, within 5 years of my age, and attractive. [livejournal.com profile] tragicstory himself would fit the bill except for that whole single qualification, and he's not willing to bend on that one. Sigh. ;)

My next topic of conversation gets its own post. Lucky it!

What the hell was that crap in Orbitz, anyway?

I never had one, so I'm not sure. Was it small tapioca balls, as they do with larger ones in tea these days?

I dunno... I had one once, and it seems like they tasted like nothing. I haven't had bubble tea so I can't compare, but the stuff in orbitz didn't really have any noticable texture... it wasn't like "Oh, there's tasty shit in my drink," it was like, "Oh, this drink just looks interesting."

It did look cool, though.

Yeah, I think I bought a bottle once just for the looks, but never drank it. No clue where it is.

You can find it in the Museum of Science food court. I drank it and it was wierd.
