last night
29 December 2003 07:59Due to my wake-up time of 5pm, I've been awake all night. I was able to find a group of high school friends awake and playing X-box games. I joined them, and even played a bit! I have no clue what the name of the game I played was. It was an FPS that we played on four-person split-screen mode, and in one of the maps we were able to use these ATVs called Warthogs. If anyone recognizes that much and could enlighten me as to the name of the game, I'd be very appreciative. [Edit: I've been informed the game was Halo. Thanks
caltren!]
Then the party moved to IHOP for food and conversation. They talked a lot about roleplaying, and thanks to the information I picked up from Kevin I was able to join in some of the conversation! That made me very happy. I really wish I had tried to join them in high school. I think I would enjoy rping.
At 4am everyone wussed out and went home except for Sean and me. We hopped in Deanna's car and drove in a big loop around OKC (35 south to 44 west to 40 east to 235 north) before going to the Edmond Walmart at 5 in the morning. We thoroughly amused ourselves there for two hours. We even played pool. Yes, pool at Walmart. Sean won.
There was a vending machine at Walmart selling stickers. One of the options was a set of "boys suck" stickers, including a sticker that said, "Watch out! I'm giving up on boys!" which provided a lot of amusement.
I had to have Deanna's car back for her by 7:30, so I said goodbye to Sean and drove back to the ranch. I had forgotten how beautiful the Oklahoma country sky can get at sunrise. Since the land is so flat, you can see the entire sky... And the colors, the blues and greens and yellows, are just beautiful. It was a good last morning.
Deanna has left for work, and I will not see her again for a long time. She'll be moving to Italy at the end of January.
I'll hopefully get to see
maximilian_xiii later this morning, and then my mom will drive me to Tulsa and I'll leave.
dayeaux and
ian_goodknight, if you're REALLY bored you could probably catch me at the Tulsa airport around 3-5pm just hanging out with my mom. I have no clue what the lines will be like, and she's wanting to leave OKC at 1pm for a flight that leaves at 6. Call first, I suppose, and I could just be sitting in a lobby talking to my mom. It'd be a short visit, but it'd be a visit. :)
With that, I'm going to... do something else.
