I added several friends today.

I barely know diego001. He is the person of whom I spoke last night, who looked interesting on bostonsingles. Time will tell...

And a few SCAers. tpau, learnedax, and siderea. I know the first two from dance practice, the latter I've only met once (at Novice Schola) but is the uber-special music-woman, and therefore worthy of friending. Plus, perhaps if I post here that I need Waytes music, she'll make udalrich some copies!

I also, in a fit of desiring to meet new people, did a search for people ages 15-35 who live in Malden. Wrote down a few who looked interesting. Will possibly contact people upon return from vacation. Am I getting too old to have high school friends? They're band geeks...

Actually, I can answer that for myself. I'm probably too old in the sense that I won't be able to stand spending time with them.

BUT if I get myself a high school boyfriend, I'll be able to go to PROM! I can't deny the inexplicable urge I have to get dressed up, put makeup on, and dance to shitty music in a gym somewhere. Perhaps right around prom time I should put up a flier advertising myself as a prom date.

...I'm pathetic.

well, in the u.s. version of Queer as Folk, 30 year old brian goes to Justin's senior prom.
and when i went to prom junior year, melissa mcdaniel brought a scandalously old date. i think he was 26.

UGH Prom....don't remind me. I was one of those who had a horrible prom night.

Perhaps if I hadn't been wearing a hot pink petticoat, things may have gone better...

Heh. I actually did prom three times during high school, and none of them were horrible. Perhaps my lack of hot pink petticoat?

Go for it. A twentysomething girl goes to the prom with a boy and she puffs up the boy's ego. A twentysomething boy. on the other hand, goes to the prom with a girl and gets to be seen as creepy. I've seen it happen. It's not pretty. (I knew the girl, not the boy, TYVM.)

well if you are in IL in april, you are welcome to go to the law school prom. its a lot like high school prom...bad music, bad DJ, in a gym type area only with an open bar. the people are a little less mature in law school than in high school, but otherwise its the same general idea :)

Wow, law school prom. That sounds very very weird to me. I doubt I'll be in IL during that time, but just in case, I'll keep it in mind. :)
