links and a survey
6 December 2003 00:26The last time I did laundry was Oct. 28th or 29th. Meaning it's been 5.5 weeks. For me, this results in $20.25 worth of laundry done tonight. Three 55lb "super giant" washing machines' worth. It took me about an hour and a half to fold, sort, hang, etc etc.
This makes me hate the world. Recommended link to anyone who doesn't think "gay" is a disgusting word.
Secondly, this cheered me up. It's a 30 second clip of an a capella group doing "One Song Glory" from Rent. If you're a fan of Rent, check that clip out. 477kb.
1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks? stream

3. A metal container to carry a meal in? lunchbox
4. The thing that you cook bacon and eggs in? frying pan
5. The piece of furniture that seats three people? couch, sofa
6. The device on the outside of the house that carries rain off the roof? gutter
7. The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening? porch
8. Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages? Soda, although for a while I used "coke" as an all-inclusive.
9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup? pancake
10. A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself? sub
11. The piece of clothing worn by men at the beach? bathing suit or swim trunks
12. Shoes worn for sports? tennis shoes or sneakers
13. Putting a room in order? cleaning up - not on this list is the use of "putting up" something as a synonym for "putting away". It used to bother Jason a lot.
14. A flying insect that glows in the dark? firefly, lightning bug
15. The little insect (arthropod) that curls up into a ball? roly-poly
16. The children's playground equipment where one kid sits on one side and goes up while the other sits on the other side and goes down? see-saw
17. How do you eat your pizza? Flat, tip-first, with my hands.
18. What's it called when private citizens put up signs and sell their used stuff? Garage sale or yard sale, depending on where the stuff is.
