today's activities
17 October 2003 03:06Today I was awakened by a phone call from Heath, who plays Kendis on 3k. He's a senior from Tuttle HS in Oklahoma, up in Boston researching Boston University. So I got ready and headed down to meet him at his hotel, the Sheraton Braintree. Braintree is on the south side of Boston. It took me a LONG time to get there. Bah.
We had lunch in the mall, and then Cindy/Vryce showed up. We went to her house where I fell asleep. I guess 9 hours just wasn't enough for me. :P Then Paul/Vraal arrived from New York (he and Heath are friends). We four, with Cindy's husband Mike/Stalin, then came up to the north side of town to a place called Good Times to eat dinner and watch the Red Sox/Yankees baseball game.
Good Times is a NEAT place. It's a combination bar/restaurant/arcade/pool hall/batting cages/laser tag/sports/etc/etc/etc place. I like it a lot. They have TWO DDR machines AND Para-Para-Paradise!
The baseball game was ... heart-breakingly agonizing. The Sox were ahead for most of the game and then it just slipped through their fingers. I won't be surprised if I hear about rioting tomorrow morning. There was a chair thrown at the wall tonight, and we were OUT of the center of the city. For those who don't know, this was the last game in the NY/Boston series. The Yankees are now going to the World Series to play the Marlins. Neither the Cubs nor the Sox won. Sigh.
I think that's all I have to say. I might hang out with Paul and Heath more tomorrow, so I should get some sleep.
