Well, almost 48 hours later...

Matchbox 20 was a good live show. The band had a LOT of energy, which of course the screaming crowds reflected back, and I got caught in. MB20 isn't a band I seek out, but I don't change the radio if their songs come on, and therefore I did know some words to sing along. The crowd for them is REALLY varied - I saw everything from teenyboppers to 50-somethings dancing and singing along. In fact, there was a middle-aged man sitting behind Adriana and I who REALLY liked Rob Thomas (the lead singer) (giggle).

The Tweeter Center, the place where big-name acts play in Boston, is not handicapped-friendly. Adriana had very close-up seats, but they wouldn't let her wheelchair down there. We were moved back about 50 rows to the handicapped seating. This didn't go over well with Adriana, since she has met the band a few times before and knows they will recognize her from the stage. Bleh. Oh, and the backstage passes didn't come through either. So we were screwed out of both the close seats and the backstage access. But I guess we can't complain too much, the show was free. And good. :)

Then I stayed the night at her place. We had to wake up her roommate to put Adri to bed since I was really hurting and couldn't even contemplate lifting Adri. I couldn't lean over to brush my teeth. :P But I slept on my back on their futon and felt better in the morning - er, afternoon, since it was 1 when we got up.

We fooled around until about 4, when she had a doctor's appointment. Then I went online looking for people to spend time with until dance practice at 7:30. Jason was my first choice, but he was in class at the time. Anyone I knew from the MUD was busy. Then, Nick (one of Jason's friends whom I had also made friends with) logged on. We met up and had Burger King and a beer. I now know what to drink in place of Shiner Bach! Harpoon. Brewed in Boston, very smooth, lighter side of medium, and not at all bitter. Mmm. Plus Nick says that he goes out a lot, to clubs and bars and parties, which is the kind of thing I WANT to be doing, so now I have another lead on being social. Yay!

Then was dance practice. I was sore but I got through it, probably because of the myriad backrubs I was able to garner (three lengthy dedicated backrubs, and multiple other small between-dance backrubs). I was happy to know that my absence last week was noticed by many. And I got my hand kissed several times! To explain - two Thursdays ago when I hung out with Jen she said that in this group, flirting was always considered to be in fun jest unless otherwise mentioned (and gave me the names of those who don't abide by this policy), so I don't hold back. It's fun :) Yay flirting.

This means I missed the Angel premiere tonight. It's okay because I'm not ready for it, and I know I can download it. I will do so after I finish watching season 2 and reading up on seasons 3 and 4. :)

Now I'm home, VERY sore, and not at all sleepy. And I have 2 days' worth of friends' pages to read....
