injury update

juldeaJim helped out last night with hot towels and fetching things so I wouldn't have to get up. He's very great :) Yay for friendly housemates.
Sleeping was difficult. I had to climb into my bed and get inside the tangled blankets, which was unavoidably painful at times. I called my mom from bed. She has had back troubles all her life, so she was able to give me hints like prop my legs up on pillows. Getting the pillows in place was a blast, lemme tell ya :P
However, once I was all settled Pixel came up on the bed to investigate. She climbed under the covers and sat on my tummy, kneading my solar plexus (plexis?). I'm going to firmly believe that she has a simple understanding of what back rubs are and thought she was giving me one :) Anyway, once I was sufficiently softened up she lay down on me and purrrrrrrrrrred and eventually fell asleep there. Which was just so delightful :)
I felt better upon waking up, although I still hurt a lot. I was able to mostly stand up to go get more painkillers, a glass of juice, and move the computer around. Since my computer desk backs up against the couch, I just turned my monitor around (it's on a swivel mount) and tossed my keyboard and mouse over the back of the couch... and now I'm on the computer while lying flat on my back on the couch :) Much better for me than sitting.
Of course, this is where Matrix (the other cat) wants to be, so she quickly jump atop of me, lay down, and completely pinned one arm from moving. Silly cat. I wish there were someone here to take our picture... I have few pictures of Matrix and I cuddling.
In fact, I just wish there were someone here. I'm bored :P
No dance practice for me tonight :( :( :( :( And I was looking forward to seeing Kevin... and Troy... and Gerard.... and Eliza... *grin*
