The government accordingly spends more and more of our tax money financing "faith-based organizations." Without faith we might relapse into scientific or rational thinking, which leads by a slippery slope toward constitutional democracy.

Just as the War Against Drugs would make some kind of sense if they honestly called it a War Against Some Drugs, I regard Dubya's current Kampf as a War Against Some Terrorists. I may remain wed to that horrid heresy until he bombs CIA headquarters in Langtry.

I'm in the middle of reading "Brave New World", so the concept of the government spending money on religion doesn't bother me as much as it probably should. :D

So far it's pretty good. The book is your typical 1950's satirical dystopia, but has some interesting things in it. The "science" isn't too far removed from reality, so it's a bit scary too. ;)
