Is it wrong to cry over dreams that passed you by?

Jim and I went into town today and walked around Fanuel Hall and Quincy Market. While inside a Discovery Channel store, I saw the DVD for Blast!, which has been on my wishlist for a long time, and I splurged and bought it. I came home and immediately watched it. And the "Making of Blast!" segment.

---------------

I'm too old for DCI. You can't be older than 22.

If I would've known, at age 15, that I could've been a part of such a thing...

But I didn't. And I never will be. It's too late now.

I dated a guy who told me about one of the large drum corps that I was still young enough to be in.... although I was 21 or 22 then, so maybe it was the same one.

Imagine dating Mr. Fry, in terms of Drum Corps obsession. *shudder*

Yeah, I never understood Mr. Fry. I love marching and drum corps as much as he does, but we're so radically different... and he and Mr. Pearson just disliked me so much. I don't know why, heh...

Weird, I didn't know you had to be under 22 either. But you could always apply as an instructor or something.

But it's not the same at all to be on the sidelines, without an instrument, without a uniform, without your peers next to you... It's being right in the middle of it and PERFORMING that I miss.

Nope, definitely not wrong to cry over it - I've done that myself lately... the trick is to find new dreams to replace it.

Like Adalius' suggestion
