strange doings
14 August 2003 15:01I'm in the middle of a bath taken out of pots of water boiled on the stove.
I woke up today, went to take a shower, and no matter what temperature the water is set at it comes out icy. I assume this means our water heater is broken. Jim called the landlord and left a message, so who knows when it'll be fixed...
But I needed to be clean. NEEDED. I live in apartment with no A/C where the outside temperature is daily above the 90/30ºs with humidity at least above 50%, more commonly above 90%. It's hot and sweaty and I smell.
And I didn't take a shower yesterday. :P
So finally I just fished my large soup pot (the one most commonly used for potato soup with sausages, for those that know!), filled it with water, and heated it on the stove. I'm not too efficient at this so I used the one pot up with hair, face, neck, and ears. But I assume I will be able to wash the rest of me with only one refill (which is currently heating).
Crazy.
