I just spent a lot of money from Brendan's computer!
I came over here around 11:30 to show off my new little backpack/purse... it's Harry Potter! It was my splurge purchase at Walmart. I really need a new backpack (the zipper on my current one is broken) and I was looking through them at Walmart. There was one I REALLY loved in style and use of pockets (I need to be able to say, "My calculator will go in this pocket, and my pens in this pocket, and...") but I am kind of looking for a backpack that has a padded laptop area. There was one of those at Walmart, but I didn't like its style and pocket availability.
Whoa, tangent. Anyway, I came over here and everyone except Brooke and Jon were gone to Elk City. I asked if I could get online and they said it was fine, cuz no one else was using it. I got online and updated my budget, then... well the computer sucked me in. I've made some important purchases though.
I found a backpack I -really- liked from jansport.com, but it was $100. Yeah. So I searched around some more, and found a perfect solution to my Walmart backpack problem... a laptop sleeve! I found one that fits my computer for $20.. so I can get the neat Walmart backpack and have a padded case for my laptop to carry around in. Yay solutions!
So then I looked online for textbooks. It was great. I found all but one of my textbooks used for cheap prices (and the one I didn't find is only $9.95 anyway). My discrete math book, instead of being $35, is $25 used from Amazon, Div, Grad, Curl, and All That I found for $8.95 used instead of $26 new (also Amazon), and Revolutionizing the Sciences, one of my History of Sci books, was $8.95 from Half.com instead of $16.95 new. Even adding shipping costs, the books cost less than new. Hooray!
But I stil spent a lot of money. I think I will update my budget one more time with these new expenses, then cry at how much money I'm spending and go home. Well, I think I'll stop at Walmart to get my new backpack first. ;)
