Today was spent, for the most part, mudding. I woke up and got online just in time for reboot. I gathered some equipment for my guild and for me, and then began partying with Jacob/Badanedwa. Our parties are VERY lucrative for me in xp, gxp, and coins. When he had to go I realized that my next guild level was within reachable distance if I just sat at the computer for the rest of the day... so I did so. Heh. I was on for about 11 hours total. But now I'm guild level 69. :P The last guild level I got was over a year ago, so... yeah. Go me.

After Jim got home, ate, and rested a bit, I asked him to take me out on a walk around town to show me places (and to get me off of my butt after my day of computer gaming). He is a great person and obliged. :) So now I know where the police station, library, fire station, city hall, high school, comic book/gaming/geek shops, and Dunkin' Donuts are. Massachusetts has a plethora of Dunkin' Donuts. There are three within four blocks of here.

I would like to find a nearby plasma center. The Yahoo yellow pages have done me no good.

Today I learned that the measurement "a fifth of [insert type of liquor]" refers to it being a fifth of a gallon.

Someday, I will finish my story. I want to remember it all, so I shouldn't wait much longer! :P

Well, there's only one Krispy Kreme here, and Jim says that the day it opened it created a MAJOR traffic jam. So apparently people disagree with you, or like grease...

Or perhaps they're just sick of Dunkin' Donuts, if it was the only option available for so long... hrm.

I'd go with the variety reason. That and Krispy Kreme is really hyped.

I'll second the hype. Denver has a really nice mix of Dunkin's, Winchell's and independent donut shops but when the first Krispy Kreme store opened there the line was something like two hours.

I consider the grease idea valid too. There are very few Southern places I've been able to actually digest the food from (greasy and some high-fat foods go right through me after I eat them) and KK donuts always do a number on me when I eat them.

Yeah, for a company that does no advertising (that I've ever seen) and simply relies on word of mouth, Krispy Kreme certainly creates a sensation wherever it goes.

I don't understand the Krispy Kreme situation either. The high school band in my hometown used to sell Krispy Kreme donuts out of the bandwagon as a fundraiser. (The directors would drive to OKC to get them at the ass-crack of dawn.) Now almost every grocery store and convenience store in my hometown does the same thing at least once a week, even though we have donut places in town. It's retarded.
