girliness... maybe?
9 July 2003 01:12Today I went out with my mom and my sister to the mall, and I got to sit down at the Clinique counter and have a makeup application. Therefore, NOT counting stage makeup, perhaps I've now worn makeup 10 times in my life. Whatever number it is, it's a small number. But whatever the girl at the counter did, I like it. She made it very subtle and natural-looking yet not (for if it just looked natural what would be the point?) and I even bought some of the stuff.
I also bought other girly stuff, painkillers, and a pint of Ben 'n' Jerry's (mint chocolate cookie). And cotton balls.
And then I went and saw Terminator 3. I consider this an amusing counterpoint to the rest of the day.
I liked it. It was a fully-full-on action flick. It was the counterpart to The Hulk, which was not all about the smashing. T3 was all about the smashing. Arnold's rear-I-mean-body looks amazing for his age. Unlike
tank182, the last scene DID move me. I put myself in the characters' place, and I was moved. Perhaps I just imagined myself in that situation way too much during high school...
Oh, and the John Connor guy is hot.
But it had been way too long since I had seen the first two, and I got, well, not lost, but it took me a minute to make a few connections. Now I want to see the first two again.
I hope there's a fourth, too.
