I have Made Up My Mind.

I'm moving to Boston. I will leave at the end of July. I will stop by the mud party in Pittsburgh on the 1st of August on my way.

Now come the choices of how to do this. It can be really expensive or... well, it can pretty much be really expensive.

I can rent a truck. Penske has the cheapest rental at right around $700. That's before gas, boxes, etc. But everything will be under my control, the cats can ride with me, etc.

I can fly and have other things shipped. I haven't seriously researched this plan yet. It would involve selling most of my large furniture and shipping only smaller boxes of more important items.

I can pay my mom to rent me her truck and horse trailer and perhaps even herself as a driver. This puts her out but puts items in my control. This must be discussed.

I have a temporary and perhaps permanent place to stay already with Jim, an old 3k friend (and yes we have met before). I have even been to the apartment, only that was a long while ago and I don't really remember much of what it was like. He's inquiring about the cat issue this weekend.

I figured enough waffling was enough. I'll make a decision and stick with it. I am young enough that I can mess up my life and still have time to fix it before dying of old age.

When i moved from Buffalo back to NYC, I took the fly-and-ship-everything, which at the time worked best for me.Then again, I was kindof fleeing the city as fast as possible, and didnt really care about the furniture or other junk that I left up there. Oh, and I don't have a driver's license so I had little choice.

This is a totally unhelpful comment isn't it. I'll shut up now...

Heehee. Perhaps if you tell me how much how much it cost?

Then again, Buffalo to NYC isn't quite the distance that OKC to Boston is.

i honestly don't remember, to ber honest. i shipped like 4 big boxes, and i dont remember it being outrageous, but i dont remember much from that period of my life...
